Four New Video Marketing Tactics

The days of one-shot wonders are done, according to the folks over at BtoB Online.

You can’t expect one video to keep pulling people in anymore. You’ve got to keep an ongoing show up that will educate, surprise and engage. To that end, they outlined four new ways of using video to delight your community.

1) Video Blogs
Not so new, but the dear people at SEOMoz have a “Whiteboard Friday” that keeps you coming back week to week for information about what’s going on in the SEO world.

2) Searchable Video
Don’t want to watch the whole thing? No problem. Real Time Content is making video searchable so that you can get to the bits that really matter to you.

3) Be Educational
Kind of a no-brainer, really. We’ve all been doing whitepapers and webinars for years. Turn your educational content on it’s head by giving your product and company a face and a personality.

4) Sponsored Video
My personal favorite. Reach out to your blog network and ask them to join you in in the conversation.. You can’t rely on consumers to continually send content – even when you’ve got great mashable stuff that can be remixed. Stack the deck and enlist and lead your community.

Video Marketing is up 8.8% since 2007 and people are finally realizing that you can create beautiful engaging conversations, not just content.
